JALSAN is a non-governmental organization. It was established in the year 2011 by the co-operation of Japanese Language Schools and consultancies run by professional Japanese Language Instructors and Entrepreneurs. The motive behind the establishment of JALSAN is to make joint effort towards promoting Japanese Language, cultural exchange and providing right information to the students who are willing to study in Japan. Educational consultancies play a very sensitive and vital role to assist the student who is in search to study abroad. It can work as a bridge and make the way easy to study in a foreign land. The number of Nepalese students aspiring to study abroad is at an increasing trend. Japan has become one of the best study destinations among the Nepali students if we see the last couple of year’s data. Likewise, the number of educational consultancies is also mushrooming daily in Nepal, especially for Japan. Keeping this fact in mind, the member schools of JALSAN decided to act jointly to monitor and stop the unhealthy competition, and provide right information to the students. For this, JALSAN had successfully organized the 1st Japan Education Fair in 2011 and 2nd Japan Education Fair 2012 in Katmandu.
JALSAN has been formally registered to the District Administration Office, Kathmandu under the social Act of Government of Nepal 1999 and has been working to promote the Japanese language and culture since its inception.
